Work will only commence upon receipt of a signed acceptance of quotation or written purchase order. Hi-Tech Engineering reserves the right to decline any request for service at its discretion.
Unless a separate written credit agreement exists between the parties:
Disputed invoices must be raised in writing within 7 days of the invoice date. Raising a dispute does not entitle the client to withhold payment of the undisputed portion of an invoice.
Where a Service Level Agreement (SLA) has been entered into between Hi-Tech Engineering and a client, the terms of that SLA shall take precedence over these general Terms in respect of the services covered by the SLA.
Adhoc and term-based SLAs are available. Term-based SLAs attract preferential service levels and pricing. Emergency and after-hours call-out services are subject to availability and applicable rates as agreed in your SLA or as quoted at the time of the call-out.
Hi-Tech Engineering warrants that all work performed by our technicians will be carried out in a professional and workmanlike manner in accordance with applicable industry standards and regulations.
This warranty does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law:
Important: Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act.
When engaging Hi-Tech Engineering for services, you agree to:
Hi-Tech Engineering operates in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993 and its regulations. Our technicians are trained to maintain safe working practices on all sites.
Clients are responsible for ensuring that their sites comply with applicable health and safety legislation. Hi-Tech Engineering reserves the right to refuse or suspend work at any site where conditions pose an unreasonable risk to the health and safety of our employees or subcontractors.
All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, designs, drawings, technical documentation, and software — is the property of Hi-Tech Engineering or its licensors and is protected by South African and international intellectual property law.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any website content without our prior written consent. Technical drawings and designs produced by Hi-Tech Engineering for a specific project remain the intellectual property of Hi-Tech Engineering unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Prior to instituting formal legal proceedings, the parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute amicably through good-faith negotiation. If the dispute cannot be resolved within 30 days of written notice, either party may refer the matter to mediation before proceeding to litigation.
Hi-Tech Engineering's registered head office in Bloemfontein, Free State shall be the agreed jurisdiction for all legal proceedings unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Where you engage Hi-Tech Engineering as a consumer as defined in the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA), you retain all rights afforded to you under the CPA. Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit, exclude, or modify your statutory consumer rights.
